I am proud to unveil the official OLD FRIENDS music video featuring one of my best friends; the super, multi-talented, singer/song-writer, violinist- Paul Dateh. I want to give a special thanks to my old friends Will and Glen Diaz for coming through and showing their support, as well as the super-talented artist/designer Matt Lolli from GhostShip Clothing for supplying me with the ill t-shirts and being a true brother. It’s Not Easy Being An Action Hero

October 12, 2010

We’ve finally wrapped shooting our new video! There may be a couple of pick-up shots down the road, but for now it appears we have done all we can. It’s been a great experience and if we had more resources and time I am sure we would have done even more, but trust me when I say, this is going to be a GREAT video.

I’ve definitely gained a whole new appreciation for what professional actors and actresses are capable of, especially action heros and people who do physical comedy. I also realized I need to really start exercising more. Haha.

Stay tuned! More stills and video to come. And don’t forget to subscribe to this blog and keep spreading the word about my new album.

Peace and Love!

New Video Shoot- Day 3 and 4

October 8, 2010

My crew and I just finished day 3 and 4 of shooting our new music video. We shot a badass fight scene in Middletown, CT, where most of us received some real injuries due to the fact that we are by no means real fighters, and I think we all gained a lot of respect for actors who portray action heros on the regular. It’s definitely not easy work and often times not as fun as you would like to imagine. Big thanks to my boy Matt Lolli at GhostShip for taking the worst of it like a real trooper. And of course Jesse and Kevin for all of their hard work and dedication. This is going to be a great video thanks to them.

We also shot a great intro scene at may favorite comic store- Alternate Universe in Milford, CT, thanks to Erik Yacko. Make sure to check out ComiCONN as we prepare for the next big show. Big thanks to Joel, Alex, and Amanda for helping out as well.

Finally on day 4 we shot some action sequences around Shelton, CT and the fine folks over at Hebert Jewelers in Milford, CT, were kind enough to lend us their rooftop to film some scenes.

We had hoped to wrap up shooting but we still have a couple of more shots we hope to get and then the team will begin editing. Stay tuned, we plan on having this done in December. In the meantime please make sure to get your copy of the new album on ITUNES or get the limited edition cd directly from me HERE. I’m offering a FREE bonus cd as well as FREE shipping worldwide. So don’t miss out! These cd’s are extremely limited.

New J-Live Album Art by Adam Wallenta

October 6, 2010

As mentioned last week, I recently illustrated some art for one of my favorite emcees; J-Live. J had a very specific vision of what he wanted and I was honored to contribute to the project and work with the super talented designer Collin Badger from Freshrr Designs. Here’s a first look at J-Live’s Undivided Attention EP, dropping November 4th. This is the precursor to the full-length album- S.P.T.A. (Said Person Of That Ability) LP (pronounced “Spitta”), dropping next year.

Both the EP and the full-length album are amazing and if you love HipHop music, you definitely need to own both of these projects. The EP has several exclusive tracks you won’t find on the full-length so definitely support this project. Stay tuned to J-Live Music for more details.

And of course I will post up the full-length album art just as soon as I can.

New Art, New Music, New Videos and More!

September 28, 2010

What’s good, people? I hope this finds everyone doing well. I’ve been very busy with a lot of new projects and will try my best to keep you up to date on all of them. Sorry I am unable to blog more frquently

1. I am currently working with legendary emcee- Freddie Foxxx, aka Bumpy Knuckles, on the art for his new projects. The O.G. has been an inspiration to me for many years and it’s an honor to bring his ideas to life visually and contribute to his amazing body of work. First up is Music from the Man Volume 1, which features production exclusively by Jesse West. The album is classic and if you love underground HipHop, you need this album. Get it on ITUNES!

2. I also just finished up illustrating J-Live’s new album art. The package design will be handled by the super talented Collin Badger from Freshrr Design Studios. I haven’t seen the final product yet but I am super excited to check it out. Once I get the ok, I will post up some images for you. J has a very specific vision for his work, and I am honored to contribute to this project as well. Man, I love HIPHOP! For more info check out Freshrr. This is another classic J-Live album and a must have for any true HipHoppa.

3. I am working on a brand new song, produced by the Krate Krusaders out in the UK, for their upcoming album- This Is US. The song is almost complete but I have to re-record the intro and outro and then they have to finalize the mix. Besides contributing what is sure to be a banger, I also illustrated the cover art and I am producing a video for my track, which will be the lead single. We just wrapped up a two day shoot and we have a couple of more days of shooting before we dive into editing. Check out some stills below and get ready to have some fun.

4. I am also happy to say I am working on my first project for DC Comics. I am coloring two stories for their upcoming Halloween Special. The first story features Superman and the Demon with a load of other guests, including Batman and his many rogues. The second story features the Flash. Once I get the approval from my editors I will be sure to post up some of the work for you to check out. Hopefully this is just the beginning- keep your fingers crossed.

5. I am also working on a brand new Zombie book for SkyHorse Publishing. You can order my previous release- The Art of Zombie Warfare on Amazon. For the record- I did not illustrate that cover cover, only the interiors. The book was written by Scott Kenmore and is a great read and a must have for all zombie fans. Check out his other work as well, while you’re at it.

Finally- you may have noticed my Facebook page was disabled again. It happened a couple of months ago out of the blue and I was notified by Facebook, telling me they weren’t sure I was who I claimed to be, so they disabled me. Once I proved to them I was indeed me, they reinstated my account. I have never violated any of their rules and I am not sure why they have disabled me this time, since they have not responded to any of my inquiries at all. So please be sure to subscribe to this site so we can stay in touch. The reality is, social network sites come and go, and they cannot be trusted to be reliable. So it is better to subscribe to me directly because I can guarantee I am not going anywhere.

Peace and Love and thank you all for your support!

Don’t forget to get my new album- Feel Good Music on ITUNES or get the limited edition autographed cd with FREE bonus disc directly from me at my STORE.

Please Vote for my Art

August 10, 2010

Hey all,

Last week I submitted art to an Upper Playground sponsored, David Choe inspired, art competition. In order for me to win I need everyone of you to vote for my piece.

It is really easy to vote. Just sign in to Facebook and “LIKE” Upper Playground and then check out My Artwork and click “VOTE.” Super easy! When you click on the link you will see a close up of my art. If you click on the art it will take you to a full image of the art so you can view it in its entirety. I am also posting it here obviously. Feel free to leave a comment as well.

For those that don’t know who David Choe is- he is an amazing artist and I am a big fan. Check out some of his work on his website. The prize is a copy of his work, some toys he designed and an original piece by David himself.

I hope everyone will take a quick second to vote and show their support. It is greatly appreciated.

Peace!

Adam

Facebook Disabled- Please Subscribe to This Site!

August 9, 2010

What’s good, people? You may have noticed that my Facebook account has gone missing. Apparently Facebook decided to disable my account for no reason and without any warning on Friday and I have not had any response from them since. To my knowledge I did nothing wrong and did not intentionally break any of their rules. This has been extremely unfortunate because I made the mistake of relying on them to connect with international family, friends and fans and used Facebook as a tool to stay in touch with all of them and you. It woke me up and made me realize I cannot rely on any social networking site that can alter my status without warning. These sites are really just fads and as Myspace proved, can become irrelevant overnight. So there is no sense in building up their brand and directing traffic to their sites. Instead we will start from scratch here at AdamWallenta.com and build our own forum and network of like minds and continue on our path for true independence and freedom. So please make sure to subscribe to this site so you get automatic updates and news and be the first to hear about special giveaways and deals. I appreciate you following me and my career and thank you for tuning in.

Peace!
