Limited Edition ComiCONN Iron Man T-Shirts

June 4, 2010

Awhile back I was asked by the good folks at Alternate Universe Comic Store in Milford, CT, to design the interior cover of the first annual ComicCONN program booklet. Of course I was more than happy to. Most of you have already seen the artwork I created of Iron Man but I was also fortunate to have my good friend and fellow artist- Matt Lolli hand-screen 30 limited edition t-shirts. Each shirt is literally a work of art. If you are an Iron Man this is a must have, and lucky for you, we have a few left in various sizes. We are selling the shirts for only $25.00 each. If you are interested drop me a line and let me know what size you need. We will not be printing anymore so these are very rare.

You can also check out more of Matt Lolli’s work and words at Ghost Ship Clothing. Matt is an incredible artist and a pro cyclist with his own baddass team or riders, not to mention just an awesome guy!

4 New Books from SkyHorse Publishing

April 5, 2010

Hey all!

I know it must seem like the only thing I do these days is promote my new album, FEEL GOOD MUSIC, and try and get you all to participate in my upcoming music video (see below), but I have also had the opportunity to illustrate several new book projects for Sky Horse Publishing recently.

As many of you know I work in a variety of styles, genres and mediums and cater to the needs of the publisher, taking into account the style they wish to portray, budget and deadlines. These particular books had extremely tight deadlines and I was forced to work with lightning speed. They were a lot of fun though and I am looking forward to seeing them in print soon.

The Art of Zombie Warfare “Sun Tzu meets George Romero in Scott Kenemore’s third zombie book.” The publisher needs to update Amazon’s information as I am the illustartor of this book.

Mom Rules “A laugh-out-loud funny Mother’s Day gift for the mom in your life. Following on the heels of their successful books on grandparenting (Grandma Rules and Grandpa Rules), wife-husband author team Jill and Michael Milligan set their sights on the joys and stresses of motherhood.”

Dad Rules
“Mike is a very funny writer.”—Bill Cosby. Following on the heels of his successful book on grandfatherhood (Grandpa Rules), veteran comedy writer Michael Milligan set his sights on the joys and stresses of fatherhood.”

Cool Sports Dad “75 illustrated mini essays by the world’s most knowledgeable sports experts to help dads impress and teach their children vital sporting knowledge and skills.”

ComiCONN 2010: Save the date!

February 10, 2010

To all my CT, New England and Tri-State comic book fans, make sure to save the date of May 15th, 2010, for the first annual ComiCONN celebration. If you love comic books, sci-fi, fantasy and gaming, this will be the place to be. There will be a lot of big name artists, creators and celebrities in the house signing autographs and meeting with the fans and there are a lot of free goodies being handed out. I will be on hand with my copies of my new PUBLIC ENEMY graphic novel to sell and sign as well as lots of other comics, original art, music and more.

You can pick up a copy of the official PUBLIC ENEMY graphic novel now while it is on sale at AmericanMule for $16.99 (with FREE shipping, 2 FREE cds and 3 FREE comics) or you can wait to get it for $20.00 at the con. Your choice. I hope you will all swing by my table and say hello and support a local artist.

I also illustrated the image below for the official ComiCONN program. It’s my first Iron Man piece in years. He’s a tough character to draw correctly. I used to work for Nelson Yomtov and Michael Marts at Marvel Comics. They were the editors of Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Force Works, Fantastic Force and others and I worked first as their intern, then assistant and colorist. This was several years ago of course and I would love to get my foot back in the door over at the House of Ideas but we’ll see what the future holds. For now- enjoy!

J.J. Brown Album Release Party Pt. 1

November 14, 2009

This past week I had the pleasure of attending super-producer J.J. Brown’s album release party. Incase you have been living under a rock, I illustrated and designed the album artwork. J.J.’s concept was based on the old Connect the Dots, how-to drawings from our childhood. This was a lot of fun because I got to illustrate all of the amazing artists that worked on the project that have been connected to J.J. through his 10+ year career in the music industry. Some of the artists I was blessed to illustrate I had been a fan of for many years and grew up listening to, like Craig G, and others are recent favorites like Louis Logic and Celph Titled. Throughout the process the Connect the Dots theme became even more relevant as I was fortunate to meet, connect and become friends with others that worked on this amazing project like the super talented Jonny October, Block McCloud and Big Lu. J.J. assembled a great supporting cast of musicians and talent and the album, Connect the Dots, is well worth your support. So run down to Best Buy today or order your copy online! he release party was held at the legendary SOB’s in NYC and featured amazing performances by J.J., Louis Logic, Block McCloud, Jonny October, Craig G and more. I will be posting video soon so stay tuned.

Cake
The official Connect the Dots album release party cake. I never had my artwork on a cake before. This was pretty exciting. I didn’t get a piece so I am not sure if it tasted as good as it looked.

Nardwuar vs. Flavor Flav Interview

November 10, 2009

Nardwuar interviews Flavor Flav and pulls out a copy of issue #1 of the official PUBLIC ENEMY comic book series by myself and Chuck D. A nice little piece of publicity. I just wish the 30,00+ views resulted in as many comic sales. Issue #1 as well as the trade paperback that collects issues 0-5 are still available for sale at AmericanMule. Order today and get your books autographed along with two FREE cds! Show some love for a hard working, independent artist.
