Original ComiCONN “Live-Art” Paintings for Sale!

January 7, 2012

This past summer I was a guest at the second annual ComiCONN and I did some freestyle “live-art” paintings. I had no idea what I was going to end up painting when I got to the show, I just let the paint flow and enjoyed the company and conversation of all the amazing fans who attended and braved the hurricane to celebrate our love for comic books.

The painting actually consists of four separate canvases and if you can’t tell by the photos they are pretty large. Each painting exists on its own or they can be viewed as a collection. Unfortunately my studio is pretty small and I have limited space to give these paintings the proper love they deserve. So each piece is currently for sale and looking for a loving home.

If anyone out there is interested in owning an original piece by me, drop me a line.

If you are interested in owning one of these canvases, drop me a line. First come, first serve.

I love getting messy with the paint...

Facebook Disabled- Please Subscribe to This Site!

August 9, 2010

What’s good, people? You may have noticed that my Facebook account has gone missing. Apparently Facebook decided to disable my account for no reason and without any warning on Friday and I have not had any response from them since. To my knowledge I did nothing wrong and did not intentionally break any of their rules. This has been extremely unfortunate because I made the mistake of relying on them to connect with international family, friends and fans and used Facebook as a tool to stay in touch with all of them and you. It woke me up and made me realize I cannot rely on any social networking site that can alter my status without warning. These sites are really just fads and as Myspace proved, can become irrelevant overnight. So there is no sense in building up their brand and directing traffic to their sites. Instead we will start from scratch here at AdamWallenta.com and build our own forum and network of like minds and continue on our path for true independence and freedom. So please make sure to subscribe to this site so you get automatic updates and news and be the first to hear about special giveaways and deals. I appreciate you following me and my career and thank you for tuning in.

Peace!

Love from France! An interview with REC Magazine.

June 20, 2010

I recently conducted an interview with REC Magazine (Rap, Engage, Conscient) and it was a real pleasure. They are the first magazine to ask me about my love for gardening. Never thought a HipHop magazine would find that interesting. Check out the interview here.

Being independent is a lot of hard work, but it’s a great feeling to find out that the good people of France have heard my new album- FEEL GOOD MUSIC and are digging it. I’ve been wanting to travel to France for years and never had the opportunity. Hopefully I will be rocking shows over there soon.

Thanks for your support!

HIPHOPSITE.com interviews me and J.J. Brown

June 20, 2010

FEEL GOOD MUSIC has been getting a lot of press lately and my producer, J.J. Brown and I, conducted an interview with HIPHOPSITE to discuss the album. This is the first time we have been interviewed together and it was a lot of fun. Check it out here.

First Annual ComiCONN- 2010

May 18, 2010

This past Saturday, I spent the day at the first annual ComiCONN with my wife and our good friend, Matt Lolli and a lot of enthusiastic comic book and toy collectors and all around nice people. We sold books, t-shirts, artwork and music- made some money and had a lot of fun. I didn’t get a lot of footage because I was busy working but it was actually a very busy show and a huge success. Enjoy!

Check out more great video and photos at the links below.

Atmosphere

November 6, 2009

All too often I hear people who claim to love Hip-Hop music and art, that the very art form they supposedly love is “dead”. I find this absolutely ridiculous. Usually i find that the listener is more or less spiritually dead, too lazy to see out new and innovative, good music, and all too content with turning on their radio, listening to crap and then complaining about it.

Truth be told is there are many great musicians recording in the Hip-Hop genre, many new and many “old school” favorites still working hard. One of these groups who have been “doing it” for a number of years that I personally am a big fan of is Atmosphere (emcee- Slug and producer/deejay- Ant). If you never heard of them and are a Hip-Hop “fan” then shame on you. There is absolutely no excuse.

A year or so ago I had the pleasure to meet Slug in person after he invited my wife and I to his show. He is truly one of the nicest and most generous artists you will ever meet and is right up there with Chuck D, Masta Ace, DMC, Freddie Foxxx and many others that I have been honored to meet and work with as both a fan and a professional, who are some of the most down to earth and kindest people you will meet. A month or so ago I received an email from Slug asking if I had any extra copies of my Public Enemy series signed by Chuck. A friend of his had lost his copy when his home was destroyed by a tornado. Of course I was more than willing to help and give him a copy or two from my personal stash.

A lot of people, especially successful people, often seem to take the work of others for granted and almost seem to expect everything for free. And to be honest, because Slug was gracious enough to get my wife and I into his show for free, I felt giving him some comics was the least I could do. But being a true gentleman and supporter Slug wanted to purchase several sets of the Public Enemy series. I was honored to say the least. I couldn’t just put some comics in a box and send them off though, I just wouldn’t feel right. So as an extra special thank you I threw in some original art from the series, some extra comics and the drawing below. I needed to experiment and try and loosen up a bit because my hand has been in excruciating pain for several weeks due to construction work and I thought this was a great opportunity to say thank you to someone who puts his heart into his work for all of us to hear.

Make sure to check out Atmosphere’s music at Atmosphere and if you dig it go to FifthElement and make a purchase.
